Introduction to Transoesophageal Echocardiography

Transoesophageal echocardiography has become increasingly used, not just by specialists in cardiology and cardiac anaesthetics, but for use in the management of acute and critical patient presentations. This has included emergency medicine and critical care.

We will introduce the basic principles of TOE, the various windows and related anatomy and also key pathology. You will be taught by experts and they will share their tips and tricks. There will be plenty of hands on using state of the art simulators.
