This established and popular one day course covers the curriculum requirements for Core Ultrasound (formerly level 1) and more from the Royal College of Emergency Medicine.

  • Extended Focused Assessment with Sonography in Trauma (eFAST)
  • Focused Assessment for Free Fluid (FAFF)
  • Ultrasound evaluation of the Abdominal Aorta for Aneurysm (AAA)
  • Echocardiography Evaluation in Life Support (EELS)
  • Ultrasound-guided Vascular Access (USVA)
  • Basic introduction to ultrasound in the shocked patient
  • Introduction to fascia iliaca blocks in emergency medicine

All courses include topics:

  • An introduction/review to physics of ultrasound
  • Good governance and how to progress after the course.

*RCEM level 1 content covered (the RCEM does not accredit or award CPD points for any ultrasound course)
