Emergency Medicine Enhanced (Level 2)

This course goes beyond the basics of Core and covers more enhanced contemporary emergency medicine ultrasound skills.

  • Focused ultrasound of the gall bladder and common bile duct
  • Focused ultrasound of the kidneys and urological system
  • Focused ultrasound for deep vein thrombosis
  • Focused ultrasound for appendicitis and common gastrointestinal problems
  • Introduction of ultrasound for common musculoskeletal and soft tissue problems
  • Focused ultrasound for the eye

All courses include topics:

  • An introduction/review to physics of ultrasound
  • Good governance and how to progress after the course.

* RCEM Level 1 and 2 content covered (the RCEM does not accredit or award CPD points for any ultrasound course)
